1st Three Months Hair Loss Progress

I started taking 0.5mg of Finasteride every other day back in August of 2013. I also used a ketoconazole shampoo (RegenepureDR brand) 2-3 times a week as well as used 5% Minoxidil liquid twice a day (Kirkland brand). I followed this routine for roughly three months.

3 month hair loss regrowth

Starting from the left (mid-August) to the right (late October). I followed the 0.5mg Finasteride every other day (EoD) routine religiously, while I slacked off a bit on the minoxidil routine, sometimes only getting once a day and forgetting or not being able to get the second dose in before bed. The
ketoconazole shampoo routine was followed pretty strict, as I only had to do it 2-3 times a week.

I have since changed my routine and I'll explain in detail what exactly I'm doing now as well as updated progress pictures.

Finasteride is supposedly the only thing that will keep your hair from thinning any further long-term, with a possibility of regrowing hair from spots that are just recently been thinning/balding.
Ketoconazole shampoo and minoxidil will also help it in a "synergy" type fashion, but neither will do much on their own, with a slight exception to minoxidil. Minoxidil has been shown in studies to stimulate hair regrowth on areas that it is consistently applied to over time, but it isn't permanent hair. It doesn't actually address the underlying condition that causes hair loss which means you will always have to re-apply the solution to keep whatever hair you grow with it. I have since stopped applying minoxidil because of this reason alone, seeing as how I have no plans to always apply it for the rest of my life.

You'll also have to always take Finasteride to keep your hair or whatever you regrow, but the vast majority can agree that taking a pill everyday/every other is much better than applying a liquid/foam solution to your hair twice a day and taking the time to wait for it to dry.
